Working Together

The way to create a better future is together. A leadership project such as Alkimos can only be achieved though successful relationships. LandCorp and Lend Lease acknowledge the role of neighbouring land holders, Eglinton Estates Pty Ltd, Peet Alkimos Pty Ltd and the Water Corporation and the cooperation of the City of Wanneroo in bringing the project to where it is today.

These parties have worked together to create an integrated district structure plan for Alkimos Eglinton. The Alkimos Eglinton District Structure Plan has been endorsed by the City of Wanneroo and recently the Local Structure Plan for the first 224ha stage of Alkimos was approved.

These important stakeholders recognise the need for a strategic, integrated approach to developing a project of the size and significance of Alkimos, and therefore continue to work together to ensure that all aspects'of the Alkimos project co-exist in a planned and integrated way.

LandCorp’s overall role
It is LandCorp’s role to assist the State Government deliver developments such as Alkimos that demonstrate responsible leadership and innovation while helping fulfil Government priorities. LandCorp strive to ensure our projects are customer focussed and facilitate community development and social benefits.

LandCorp and Alkimos - a long-term involvement
Since 1996 when planning began for Alkimos, LandCorp has been there working not only as the area’s largest landholder but collaborating with the local authority, other landowners and stakeholders to make this new community a reality.

In conjunction with those landowners LandCorp developed an integrated District Structure Plan for the Alkimos Eglinton area which has been endorsed by the City of Wanneroo and is approved by the Western Australian Planning Commission.

To optimise Alkimos’ potential LandCorp worked closely with the Water Corporation to secure the relocation of the waste water treatment plant providing improved coastal amenity while continuing to cater for the rapidly growing North West metropolitan corridor.

Working in tandem with Lend Lease
Alkimos provided the platform for LandCorp to secure one of the most significant urban property development partnerships in the State. When selecting a development partner they set the bar high to ensure their many years of hard work and investment attracted a like minded proponent.

In July 2010, Lend Lease was named as development partner to manage and coordinate planning, design and sustainability initiatives for the 224ha first stage of the Alkimos project.

LandCorp is working closely with Lend Lease to ensure that together, all environmental, community and economic objectives are met.
